Hilton’s ‘Double Your HHonors’ First Quarter 2013 Promotion

Hilton announced its first quarter 2013 promotion, going once again with the “Double Your HHonors” deal where you earn either double points or double miles.

Registration is required prior to checkout at a participating property for stays from January 7 to March 31, 2013. And once you select double points or double miles, you’re locked into that decision for the entire promotion period – there’s no changing from one to another after registration.

Note the list of non-participating properties is rather extensive in the United States. There are only 14 properties outside of the U.S. not participating.

    • @Gerard: Great question. The answer is a post in itself, but in short… it depends on your stay patterns/habits. For me, my 2013 hotel stays at Hilton are going waaaay down, so I went for the miles (I’m on the “Points and Fixed Miles” plan since my stays are generally for 1 night at ~$100 rates). If Hilton is your primary chain, your stays are for multiple nights and you hold higher value on HHonors points than airline miles for eventual redemption, then Points may be the way to go for you. I’ll have to write-up a thoughtful post in the future. Many think Points is the only way to go, fwiw.
