Hilton HHonors – United Airlines promo offering up to 5,000 bonus miles

I received a new Hilton HHonors promotion in my email tonight:

a close-up of a signIt does not appear targeted, though you do have to select United Airlines as your Double Dip partner. Basically, for every two-night or more stay from October 1 to December 11, 2011, you earn 1,000 bonus award miles in Mileage Plus up to a maximum of five stays and 5,000 miles. It appears these are in addition to the normal bonus miles the program offers if you select United as your Double Dip partner.

Registration is required prior to a qualifying stay, unlike my post from earlier today. Why they sent this out today with a start date of October 1st is pretty ridiculous in my mind (as if it were USPS Standard email). The full terms & conditions mention the stays must be at “a participating hotel or resort in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio,†but there is no link for excluded properties.

Let’s see how successful I am with this promotion as I already have a multi-night stay booked during the stated timeframe (and did just register).

Comments

  1. Actually I got word of this promotion earlier in the month and then again today. I’ve already gotten my 1000 bonus points for a two night Doubletree stay a couple of weeks ago.

  2. I’m assuming that besides selecting United Airlines as my preferred partner, I must also select my Double Dip option as HHonors points and miles (either variable or fixed), instead of just HHonors points, and more HHonors points. Any idea if that is correct? Or, could I keep the double HHonors points option and still receive the bonus United miles?

    Thanks!
