That was the headline & article, or so I’d like to think, back in the early- to mid-1980s in suburban Chicago. The story is true, actually, and I know exactly who did it. It was my Mom, and I will always be grateful for having such an unconditionally loving mother that she’d risk trespass charges to get her United-loving son something unique for his birthday.
I love you, Mom, Happy Mother’s Day!
My Love & Light, Darren
I’m so overcome with the surprise posting that it brought tears to my eyes! Thank you so much for such a wonderful tribute. It does appear that some sneaking must’ve been going on with an accomplice recently to acquire our 1980’s photo???? Hmmmm! Happy Skies to my great son as you continue your mileage run hobby! I love you….. Mom
@Mom: Happy Mother’s Day! And yes… I may have had a little help from Dad in getting that picture. 🙂
