In last week’s installment of Vintage Airline Seat Maps, I was playfully taunted by a fellow BoardingArea blogger about how un-vintage some of my maps are, given many of the aircraft are still flying today.
The Weekly Flyer then posted his seat selection and map for a DC-9-50 Delta flight that he was scheduled to take, and I commented that the next one I posted would be an older Delta DC-9 from the 1980s.
Well, I’ll eventually get around to that, but I got my hands on some new ones that are a bit more exciting (and vintage!), so I bring you an Air France Concorde this week.
Click the image below for the full horizontal view if twisting your head gets a bit annoying for the vertical version at bottom.
It’s interesting that Air France had two separate smoking sections (rows 8-10 and rows 24-28) over just one grouping of designated seats. Plus, there were only three lavatories, but seven coat closets!
You’d likely find me in 2D or 3D for a decent view outside, as well as being able to see the bulkhead mounted “machmetre†ahead of row 1 (another was located ahead of row 14).
Where would you sit?

Yep, I think you’re right, I’d want to be up front too!
@downhillcrasher: While that is my preference, I’d love to fly in any seat on this bird if it were still around! 🙂
I had the pleasure (luck) of sitting in 2C of the BA version of the concorde back in the day. I had both seats to myself, but the windows on the conc were so small (about a hand worth) that the views were pretty limited.
