The 2011 Frequent Flyer Chicago Seminars are already off to a great start and I just finished the “Tech Travel Skills†session hosted by Flyertalk’s Dlouise37 (Cliff). He went over some great tools & tips to help you get the most out of your online experience when searching for the best travel deals.
Topics covered in his discussion included screenshots, keyboard shortcuts, browsing capabilities, bookmarking, security and a lot more. There was also an alternate session available, “Maximizing Delta with FTI & FFI.â€
If tonight is any indication, this event promises to be jam-packed with great information and a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s full day.
I was in the other room (maximizing Delta…). I was very good, very informative. My main take-always: never book a simple round trip award ticket on Delta since you can get half of another trip thrown in for free. Another takeaway for me is how good the perks are once you achieve Platinum status. I’m currently at Gold level — may need to do some mileage runs this year!
Sounds like it was a great session! Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow.
ms & me DGF enjoyed saying hi tall all at check’in. i loved the DELTA side and can not wait to try some new ideas! c u tomorrow!
hey darren
Saw you there, I will have to come introduce myself.
Please do!
As someone who will be there today, can you explain how to get more out of the delta miles? I have some delta miles, but it doesnt seem like they go very far. How can I get an extra half a trip?
Thanks!
There was a great Delta seminar last night and tomorrow at 11am there’s a Delta breakout session. Hope you can attend that.
