United Airlines and Continental are offering double redeemable miles for flights to Tokyo’s Narita Airport between (now) November 7, 2011 and January 31, 2012. The offer is limited to residents of the U.S. and Japan and is valid for itineraries including the UA or CO nonstops to Narita from Newark, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco or Seattle. Itineraries with connections to those nonstop flights are eligible, but the double miles only apply to the NRT segment
Registration is required and be sure to note the fare buckets eligible, namely F, A, J, C, D, Z, Y, B, M (think expensive full-fare coach tickets in addition to First and Business fares.)

Got this email today, flying 20,795 miles on qualifying routes next week, certainly not M+ though.
Exactly… priced right out of my tolerance. Only really helpful for high-spend corporate travelers who United obviously wants to reward.
Sigh, was just there last week.
