As I mentioned in this post, I am a self-proclaimed airline geek and love to collect all kinds of airline and travel-related items. If you have a similar fascination, be sure to check out the various airline collectible and memorabilia shows held throughout the year. The World Airline Historical Society publishes a list of the 2011 events on their website.
If you’re in the Dallas area this Saturday April 16th, check it out at the Hilton Garden Inn DFW Airport South. For the large population of airline enthusiasts in Chicago, the next show will be held on Saturday April 30th at the Holiday Inn Elk Grove Village-O’Hare Airport. I have yet to make it to one this year, but intend on going to the Los Angeles show on June 18th at the Embassy Suites LAX South. Anyone want to join me?
I am desperately seeking a northwest airlines stainless steel tray – do you have any idea where I could purchase such a thing ?
Hi Susan, These shows would probably be your best bet to find the tray you’re looking for. If not, I’d recommend contacting other specialty shops, such as the Airline Collectible Superstore or Transportation Collectibles. It also might not hurt to email one of the people from World Airline Historical Society linked here, and they might have additional resources. Good luck in your search!
I might have found it Susan! Look at Cabin Class collectibles!
I am trying to reserve 2 tables for the Los Angeles June 18th show, but can’t find anybody to help me out.
I just need to know how to register.
Thanks,
Rob
Hi Robert,
Have you tried contacting via phone or email the two names listed on this page?
